Year End Note

2012 is nearing its end paving way for 2013. It leaves us everyone with memories both good & bad. Looking back at 2012,
  • What was done to make us feel good
  • What could have been done better
  • People who have made an impact
  • Events that have left us thinking
  • Lessons learnt
With more focus on growth, development & globalisation, competition is increasing and pushing life in fast track. Like it or not we have to run the race to survive, so do we have time for these thoughts? Dwelling on 2012 might not sound a better idea, but will thinking about it help us to improve?

The need for urgency is in the breath of most of us. In this stressful life that we bring on ourselves, these thoughts might help us guide & control our life better. These could bring out a much better person by acting as steps of ladder to bring us up.

Let us remember the past, live in present and look forward for a better future.

Winning

Winning...its not about the best selling book by Jack Welch, but it is about a question which made me think. In a relationship does one need to lose to win or keep winning to retain what was won?

In business, academics, sports, politics and war one who lost may want to compete to win back what was lost. While the one who won would want to retain what was won. Its a zero sum game, and to win there are training, coaching, mentoring, courses, practice which help to improvise and will enable the best to excel.

However in a relationship its win-win as long as one does not loose. To get into one's heart might be possible, but to stay there forever is the difficult task. And for that one has to keep winning the heart of the other to reside there. Relationship's are built on trust, faith and belief. These three are solid attributes which form the foundation blocks of any relationship. So once broken it is considered lost and winning back becomes mission impossible. Can't afford to loose as there is no coaching or training. Its self learning, and need to learn to excel before its broken.

Let us strive hard to keep winning in the never ending game of relationship and build castles of love, affection, care, friendship on the three foundation blocks of relationship.

Double Decker Bus

Has anyone felt being top of world (TOW) while sitting on the upper deck of a double decker bus ride? For some it would be another bus ride, but for me its different. An experience of feeling higher above everything. Feel energetic after the ride. This is one of the TOW experience. That makes me wonder why would anyone want to feel the TOW at times? Is it to motivate or feel energetic or feel of wanted or to feel superior?

Everyone wants to feel TOW sometime. It is an emotion which is felt by us using our insular cortex. In layman term, it is an experience which at time can be bought by money or an emotional feeling felt by own accomplishment or made to feel by someone else.

Be it buying a luxurious apartment, expensive jewellery, clothes, car. Self accomplisment like career growth, business success, graduation, certification, marathon, weight loss, cooking or it could be a word of praise, appreciation, hug by someone or becoming a parent, grandparent or it could even be a tour or like for me a upper deck bus ride. Everyone need to be felt TOW at times to drive us for betterment, growth & to a certain extent release stress by being motivated & feel charged.

All the above could give a person TOW experience & feeling, but the best would be a word of appreciation & a hug by your loved ones & dearest. Sorry to say, but this TOW feeling can't be bought by money. So go ahead and make your loved ones feel at times TOW and see what miracles it can do!!!

And don't forget to thank the person / entity who made you feel TOW. Thanks to SBS transit (Singapore Bus Operator) for making me feel energetic after the ride.
